Dilip Kumar released from hospital on Friday

Mumbai: Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is being discharged from PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai today. Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai on Sunday following respiratory problems, was later diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and has been in the ICU ward ever since, although he was not in the ventilator.

The megastar’s spokesman took the evergreen actor’s official Twitter account on Wednesday and updated everyone on his health, saying “a successful pleural aspiration procedure” was performed on the patient.

“Thank you for your prayers. A successful procedure for pleural aspiration was performed on Dilip Saab. I spoke in person to Dr Jalil Parkar and Dr Nitin Gokhale. “They are optimistic that he will be fired on Thursday (FF) – FF,” reads the tweet.

A few days ago, the wife of the veteran, Saira Banu, encouraged everyone not to believe in false rumors related to the former.

‘My husband, my Kohinoor our Dilip Kumar Sahab’s health is stable and doctors have assured me that he should be discharged soon. I urge you not to believe in rumors. “While I am asking you to pray for Sahab’s health, I pray that the Almighty will keep everyone safe and sound during this pandemic,” she issued a statement.

Dilip Kumar, who made his debut with ‘Jwar Bhata’ in 1944, has given several iconic films in his career over five decades, including ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Naya Daur’ and ‘Ram Aur Shyam’ ‘. He was last seen in the 1998 film ‘Qila’.
