Multilaser Pro, ZTE launch first XGS-PON network in Brazil

Brazil's Multilaser Pro and China's ZTE have teamed up with Brazilian regional fixed broadband operator Unifique to launch the first XGS-PON network in Brazi, increasing up to four times the bandwidth for download and up to eight times that for upload. Thanks to the new technology, the operator will be able to supply packages above 1 Gbps and reaching up to 10 Gbps, depending on the contracted plan, according to Exame.
