Chandigarh: The city on Thursday reported two deaths and 66 fresh cases of Covid-19. A 62-year-old man from Dadu Majra, who was suffering from coronary artery disease and acute respiratory distress syndrome, died at the PGI. A 24-year-old man from Mauli Jagran, who was suffering from type-2 diabetes mellitus breathed his last at the Civil Hospital in Panchkula. A total of 132 patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. TNS

Panchkula logs 19 cases, 1 death

Panchkula: The district on Thursday reported 19 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the overall tally to 30,413. It also witnessed one Covid death. A 45-year-old woman from Boonga, who was suffering from chronic kidney disease, succumbed to the virus. The Covid toll has reached 362. With 347 cases still active, the recovery rate is 97.66 per cent. —TNS

Four succumb in Mohali, 49 +ve

Mohali: Four fatalities due to Covid were witnessed in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 1,010. Meanwhile, 49 fresh cases surfaced till Thursday evening and 97 patients got the better of the disease. Among the new cases, 22 came from Mohali (urban) and 10 from the Dhakoli area of Zirakpur. — TNS
