Singapore-headquartered Huntsman Textile Effects, a company under the US-based Huntsman Corporation, and US firm Sciessent recently initiated a collaboration under which both are working to bring revolutionary anti-microbial and odour-control solutions to textile mills and brands worldwide, according to Huntsman Textile Effects president Rohit Aggarwal.
“These solutions can be combined with our other technologies and are ideal for the production of safe and sustainable active wear, outerwear, home textiles and other products,” Aggarwal told Fibre2Fashion in an interview.
With the support of Huntsman and Sciessent, manufacturers can develop and deliver innovative products with long-lasting protection against microbial growth and odour, he added.
