Hikal Limited has announced that the supply of Industrial Oxygen has started at the company's Taloja facility.
In its regulatory filing, Hikal said, "Based on the availability of industrial oxygen, we have re-commenced the manufacturing at our Taloja facility for a specific product which was stopped due to non-availability of industrial oxygen."
"We had to take a shutdown of manufacturing; however, we have kept our customer informed of the same and are working with them to make up for the shortfall in deliveries in the coming quarters," Hikal added.
Further, Hikal said, "Except for manufacturing of this one product at our Taloja facility, manufacturing of other products at our Taloja facility as well as at our other facilities continued normally during this period."
Last month, Hikal announced the impact of the non-availability of Industrial Oxygen. The company said, due to the 2nd wave of COVID-19, the Government authorities have directed the use of oxygen towards medical use only. Following this, the production of one of the company's products which need Oxygen in the manufacturing process at the Taloja facility which is part of the Crop Protection division was stopped.
At around 1.21 PM, Hikal was trading at Rs473.15 per piece down by 1.1% on Sensex.
