Amy Schumer Truck Stop Doppelganger Sends Internet Into Meltdown
A photograph of an Amy Schumer lookalike has sent the internet into a meltdown.
The stand-up comedian's doppelganger went viral after she posed for a photograph at a supposed Tennessee truck stop dubbed the Celina 52 Truck Stop.
According to the New York Post, the truck stop's name is a pseudonym for the actual gas station.
The image featured a blonde woman who bares a striking resemblance to the I Feel Pretty actress.
The woman, named Amelia, smiled for the camera as she posed next to the new mini fridge she supposedly won at the gas station.
"Who says only men can drive trucks??" the Celina 52 Truck Stop account wrote. "Big Rig driver Amelia stopped in this morning to turn in her Cranking The Hog Reward Points and redeemed this brand new mini fridge valued at over $500 due to the Monster Energy branding. Thanks for continuing to let us service you!"
It was quickly shared and liked thousands of times on social media with users referencing the star.
@BunkiePerkins simply wrote: "Amy Schumer wildin.'"
Hailing it an "Iconique tweet," user @slade added: "(Literally no clue whether that's a rando or actually Amy Schumer or shopped or viral marketing or whatever but that's just a good tweet all around)."
"I'll watch whatever movie Amy Schumer is doing research for here," @Jason_Buck joked.
@urawizardHS said: "You're telling me this ISN'T Amy Schumer?"
"On my life I thought this was Amy Schumer," @HKSurrey added.
People also noticed the woman's profane shirt, which read "Truckin n F*****", noting that it was very on-brand for Schumer's comedy.
@QCPrice said: "100% Amy Schumer owns a T shirt that says Truckin N F*****."
Twitter user @The305MVP posted: "There is SO much to unpack here! The t-shirt! The "Amy Schumer" jokes. The sign behind her!!!! The teardrop tattoo clarification!!! GOD I LOVE THE INTERWEBS!!!!"
The one notable difference in the photograph was that Schumer's unrelated twin had a teardrop tattoo on her face.
"Prize winner Amelia wanted us to point out that her teardrop tattoo is not because she murdered anyone," the truck stop Twitter account claimed. "She accidentally killed a pedestrian once after falling asleep at the wheel and got the tattoo to honor their memory."

According to Snopes, the Celina 52 Truck Stop is is a satire account and not a real gas station.
They also note that the truck stop claims to be the only station in the "Weaber Valley Region."
The publication claims this is a reference to a parody page called Weaber Valley Raceway that to sell t-shirts and even sells a "Celina 52 Truck Stop" shirt.
Some Twitter users were also left convinced the move was all set-up.
@AmandaFGodsey wrote: "There is a lot to unpack here—between the likeness to Amy Schumer; the sign; the shirt!; and the clarification on the teardrop tattoo. This can't be real. Can it?"
Even Schumer herself took to Twitter to share her confusion on the social media storm.
"Wait, what's going on at a truck stop? -me," she tweeted.
Newsweek has contacted representatives of Schumer for comment.
Schumer's lookalike is not the first time a celebrity has found their unrelated twin via the internet.
In 2019, David Schwimmer's doppelganger went viral after police shared an image of him stealing cans of beer.
Friends star Schwimmer sent social media into a frenzy when he filmed a clip of himself pretending to steal a stack of beer cans as he looked directly into the camera.
In true Schwimmer fashion, he captioned the post: "Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. #itwasntme."
The man in the original photograph was later revealed to be Abdulah Husseini. He was sentenced to nine months in prison for theft and fraud offenses.
