Hyderabad: The state government has released 310,464 million for the construction of a four km retaining wall as part of the beautification and strengthening works under Manair River Front. Assignments for this were issued on Friday. The order copy was personally handed over by Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to Minister of Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar in Pragathi Bhavan.
The Minister thanked Chandrashekhar Rao after receiving the order copy. As part of Manair River Front, 80 million was spent on the construction of check dams and 190 million for cable bridge. A coordination meeting will be held on Saturday under the chairmanship of the municipal administration and Minister of Urban Development, KT Rama Rao.
Minister of Tourism, V Srinivas Gold, Kamalakar and officials concerned will attend the meeting to discuss modalities for the preparation of a detailed project report for the execution of the works.
