On the proposal of the Department of School Education and Literacy, the Chief Minister gave approval for JAC 10th and 12th Board Exam Cancelled.
Followed by CBSE and ICSE board, Jharkhand Council has cancelled the 10th and 12th exams.
The state government took a decision in this regard on Thursday. The School Education and Literacy Department had sent a proposal to Chief Minister Hemant Soren to cancel the examinations of both the boards in view of the coronavirus infection. On this, the Chief Minister gave his approval. However, on what basis the students of these two boards will be promoted to the next classes, is not clear yet.
It is being speculated that on the basis of the marks of the ninth, the students of the tenth board will be promoted to class eleventh by giving marks. The School Education and Literacy Department had sent proposals to the Chief Minister on the basis of two three options regarding promotion.
Let us inform you that before giving suggestions to the Center, the Chief Minister had sought suggestions from the people of the state regarding the examination. In this, most people had suggested not to take the exam in view of the corona infection.
