    Piramal Ent. shares gain 4.63% as Sensex rises

    Shares of Piramal Enterprises Ltd. traded 4.63 per cent up at Rs 2295.8 at 10:38AM (IST) on Friday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 298.57 points to 52599.04. The stock had closed at Rs 2194.25 in the previous session.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 2330.45 and Rs 990.0, respectively.

    As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 10:38AM (IST) stood at 10:38AM shares with turnover at Rs 22.45 crore.
    At the current price, shares of the company trades at 38.65 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share of Rs 59.07 per share and 0.73 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

    A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

    The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.96.

    Shareholding Details
    Promoters held 46.06 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs owned 29.07 per cent and DIIs 10.54 per cent.
