MPHASIS Share Price Up by 5%; BSE IT Index Up 0.8%

MPHASIS share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 2,069.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 28,509 (up 0.8%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE IT Index today are MPHASIS (up 5.0%) and ECLERX SERVICES (up 20.0%).

WIPRO (down 0.4%) and FIRSTSOURCE SOLUTIONS (down 3.6%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, MPHASIS has moved up from Rs 886 to Rs 2,069, registering a gain of Rs 1,183 (up 132.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT has moved up from 14,747 to 28,509, registering a gain of 13,762 points (up 93.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were INTELLECT DESIGN (up 771.4%), TATA ELXSI (up 357.2%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 335.5%).

The BSE Sensex is at 52,627 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are POWER GRID (up 2.1%), RELIANCE IND. (up 1.5%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 1.3%). Other gainers include HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.0%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and POWER GRID.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,836 (up 0.5%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include COAL INDIA (up 4.5%), BAJAJ FINANCE (up 2.2%) and POWER GRID (up 2.2%). Other gainers include RELIANCE IND. (up 1.4%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,957 to 52,627, registering a gain of 18,670 points (up 54.80%).

MPHASIS Financial Update...

MPHASIS net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 8.7% to Rs 24.7 billion during the period as against Rs 22.8 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, MPHASIS reported 26.2% increase in net profit to Rs 10.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.5 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 18.1% to Rs 77 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MPHASIS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 30.7x.
