Average cost of Spanish convergent packages with pay-TV falls to EUR 78 a month

The average amount spent by Spanish households on convergent packages continued falling last year due in part to the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a survey by communications regulator CNMC. The monthly spend on a convergent package including at least fixed and mobile telephony, broadband and pay-TV came EUR 77.9 a month in Q4 2020, compared to EUR 80.4 a month in the year-earlier quarter, while the average cost of a package with fixed and mobile telephony and broadband but no pay-TV came to EUR 49.9 a month, down from EUR 49.6 in Q4 2019.
