DIPHU, June 10: While welcoming the peace accord to be signed with the six militant organisations of Karbi Anglong, the Kuki National Assembly (KNA) Karbi Anglong said that the aspirations of Kuki people should also be included in the accord.

In a press release, the KNA said that the much awaited peace settlement is expected to ultimately usher in an era of peace and tranquillity for all concerned.

The KNA stressed that the aspirations of Kuki community within Karbi Anglong should also be included in the political accord.

“The demand for Kuki Regional Autonomous Council within Karbi Anglong should also be part of the political Accord which will reflect the genuine concerns of Karbi Anglong and its people,” it added.
