Kacie, from The Big Clean Co in Melbourne, said while many of us wash down our stove tops and clean our ovens regularly, not as many realise you can clean the knobs too (pictured)
'Pull off the knobs on your oven. Yes, you heard me. Pull them off.
'That is how you give them a good clean.'
Rather than trying to wipe them down when they're on the oven, Kacie recommends that you wash your knobs in the sink to ensure they're properly disinfected, before re-attaching them to the oven.
You can do the same with the knobs on the stove top.
'You don't have to let the gunk keep building up from your cooking fingers,' Kacie said.
'Try this and have a perfectly clean oven.'

To clean the knobs (pictured), simply pull them off and wash them down with a cloth. It's a good idea to do this once a week to remove cooking gunk
Thousands of people who saw Kacie's video said they never realised that you can remove the knobs on your stove to clean them:
'This is advice everyone needs,' one commenter posted.
'If it wasn't for TiKTok, I swear I wouldn't know this,' another added.
Another professional cleaner wrote: 'I do this all the time and I've found dead cockroaches under the knobs'.

Kacie (pictured) has built up a huge following on TikTok for sharing handy household tips and tricks

Previously, she shared her three-step method for cleaning the oven without using harsh chemicals (pictured in action)
This isn't the first cleaning tip Kacie has shared with the world.
Previously, she shared her three-step method for cleaning the oven without using harsh chemicals.
She explained she preheats the oven to 'soften the grease', before scrubbing at any food stains using used bicarbonate of soda and a kitchen scourer.
In the video Kacie preheated the oven to soften the grease inside, but warned to make sure it's not too hot to avoid being burnt.
She sprinkled a generous about of bicarbonate of soda onto the oven door - which is known to be a natural alternative product to using chemical buys.
Kacie then rinsed the scourer under water for a few seconds before scrubbing on the oven.
She explained: 'The longer you've left it, the longer you're going to need to scrub; you aren't getting out of this one easy.'
Once cleaned, the end result will leave the oven looking brand new.
