Hoshiarpur:COVID harsh on 59,ruptures lives of 2

Hoshiarpur, Jun 10 (UNI) Two more people died of COVID-19 in the district, while 59 fresh cases surfaced during the past 24 hours, pushing the toll to 937 and tally to 29676, said in a health bulletin issued here Thursday evening by Civil Surgeon, Hoshiarpur.
The medical officer said the total active cases in the district stood at 808 while recoveries were at 27,931.
Two women positive patients of local Kirti Nagar and Dashmesh Nagar succumbed to the virus.
The Health Department Thursday received reports of 2,660 samples of which 54 people of the district were reported coronavirus positive. In today's tally five people of this district reported coronavirus positive and other districts had been included.
As many as 3,149 fresh samples of suspected coronavirus patients had been sent for testing.
The health department collected total 6,05,024 suspected coronavirus patients of which 5,74,925found negative till date. Results of 3,583 samples are still awaited.
The officer further stated that the district has total 290 beds in Level-2 facility in Covid Care Centres of which 225 are vacant. Of the 35 beds in Level-3 facility 27 are vacant.
