Wipro jumps as its arm gets nod for issuing US dollar denominated notes up to $750 million

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 553.15, up by 9.10 points or 1.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 544.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 544.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 555.40 and Rs. 544.80 respectively. So far 123949 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 555.50 on 08-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 206.40 on 12-Jun-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 555.50 and Rs. 540.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 303658.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.37% and 9.00% respectively.

Wipro’s step-down subsidiary -- Wipro IT Services has received approval for issuing US dollar denominated notes of up to $750 million. The board of directors of the company, at their meeting held on June 9, 2021, granted its approval to ‘unconditionally and irrevocably’ guarantee the due and prompt payment of the principal and interest and any additional amount payable in respect of the notes, as and when the same shall become and payable.
