Pakistan to hold elections in occupied Kashmir on July 25

Islamabad, Jun 10 (UNI) The general elections will be held in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on July 25, media reports said Thursday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Election Commissioner Abdul Rashid Suleria said election will be held for 33 constituencies and 12 reserves seats for refugees and the final list of eligible candidates will be finalised on July 3.

The country's coronavirus-monitoring body, National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had last month suggested postponing the upcoming PoK elections by two months in view of rising number of COVID cases.
