Asus has quietly launched a new tablet named Chromebook Detachable CM3. As it is clear from the name, this is a Chrome OS-powered tablet that will compete with the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet from the last year. These are the only two devices that you can get if you wish to try Chrome OS in a tablet form factor.

The Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 sports a 10.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) LCD touchscreen display. It is an LED-backlit panel with a brightness of 320 nits. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek MTK8183 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB and 128GB of eMMC storage options.

The tablet has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera on the front. It is powered by a 47Wh battery claimed to last for up to 12 hours. It comes bundled with a 45W charger that should help you refuel it pretty quickly. The connectivity options include one USB 2.0 Type-C port, one combo audio jack, and one Pogo pin interface. There are also dual stereo speakers to help you get a good media consumption experience.

Asus has offered a detachable kickstand cover with the tablet. The best part about this cover is that it can rotate both vertically and horizontally. It means you can use it as per your need or preference without having to look for DIY options. The Chromebook Detachable CM3 is priced at $349 for the 64GB model and at $369 for the 128GB model.
