DAVV building on RNT Marg, Indore

Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is going to make only four centres outside Madhya Pradesh for common entrance test (CET), a gateway for admission in professional courses offered by university teaching departments.

Generally, the university has more than 20 centres outside the state but this year it changed the format keeping Covid-19 situation in mind.

As per official sources, the university has decided to make centres only in those cities outside MP from where students generally come to the DAVV for studies.

The cities which have identified for CET centres are Delhi, Prayagraj, Kota and Raipur.

Besides, the university has also decided to make CET centres in most of the districts in MP so that students don't have to travel during Covid-19 times for the entrance exams.

The cities which have identified so far include Indore, Bhopal, Sagar, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Satna, Khandwa, Khargone, Ujjain, Jhabua, Dhar, Itarsi etc.

CET is a national-level exam that is conducted for admission in professional courses offered by university teaching departments. The exam is conducted for admission in more than 2000 seats.

For the last two years, the CET was not conducted following a goof-up in the online mode of exam in 2019. For the last two years, the university has been granting admission on the basis of students' marks in qualifying exams.

However, the university this year again has decided to hold CET in computer mode. The aspirant will have to come to the centre where they will have to write the exam on the computer provided to them.
