UP Covid: 642 fresh cases, 1231 recovered

Lucknow, Jun 10 (UNI) Fresh Covid 19 cases in Uttar Pradesh continue to recede and on Thursday it was 642 and number of recovered patients was 1231.

There are now 12,244 active Corona patients in the state with recovery rate touching 98 per cent and positivity rate yesterday was just 0.2 per cent.

According to officials here on Thursday the overall positivity rate in the state was 3.2 per cent.

Yesterday ,3,05,731 sample tests were done of Covid 19 and the total tests in the state has gone up to 5, 25,03,838.

Now UP has the highest per positive case tests which is 30.5 .

Other states are far below like Maharashtra- 6.4, Karnataka-11.5, Kerala -8, Delhi - 14, Tamilnadu -12.8 and Andhra Pradesh - 11.4.

In Covid vaccination, the state has vaccinated 2,15,65,323 people so far with 1,78,64,149 people getting first dose and 37,01,174 receiving second dose. Yesterday 3,91,449 people were vaccinated.

According to officials 12,53,691 food packets were distributed so far during the second wave to the needy people.

Meanwhile as the requirement of oxygen in the hospitals have decreased now on Wednesday 109 Metric tonne of oxygen was supplied for industrial use in the state, which is higher than normal days.
