Dazn snubs Sky Italia bid to share Serie A rights - report

Thursday 10 June 2021 | 15:11 CET | News
Sports streaming platform Dazn has turned down a EUR 500 million proposal from Sky Italia to continue sharing the rights to top-tier Serie A football games in Italy throughout the 2021-24 cycle, according to unnamed sources cited by Bloomberg. Sky wanted to continue offering the Dazn app on its set-top boxes in Italy but Dazn wants to retain the exclusivity for which it agreed to pay EUR 840 million a season earlier this year, said the sources. Representatives from Dazn and Sky declined to comment on the reports.
