Jamshedpur, Jun 10 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has demanded to cancel the board exams of 10th and 12th which is conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council.
He said that amid the Corona crisis there was nothing more important than the health and security of the children and in such a scenario 10th and 12th board exams should be cancelled.
Apart from the CBSE many state boards have also cancelled their 10th and 12th board exams due to Coronavirus.
Raghubar Das said that the second wave of Coronavirus is under control but there is a fear of the third wave. He said that in the second wave many students had got infected due to which apart from the students their parents are also in tension, therefore, the state government needed to be sensitive over the issue.
Raghubar Das pointed that in the meeting which was held on May 23 and chaired by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Hemant Soren had advocated for the need to cancel the exams and it has been more than 15 days but the state government has not been able to take any decision over the cancellation of the board exams. He said that there should not be any further delay
over the decision making as it will be a relief to the students, teachers and their parents.
