On the occasion of her mother’s birthday, newly wed Yami Gautam shared a picture from her wedding album to wish her.
Yami posted the photo on Instagram featuring herself in a bridal ensemble with her mom, and sister Surilie, who is also an actor. She captioned it as Every day we become a little bit more like our mother and we couldn’t be prouder! Happy birthday mummy.
In the picture, the newly-wed Yami looked radiant in a vintage red Banarasi silk saree, while her mother and sister too looked lovely in their respective traditional avatars.
Surilie reposted the same picture on her profile with a caption that read, Every day we become a little bit more like our mother and we couldn’t be prouder. Happy Birthday Mummy, she wrote, adding the hashtags #fearlesswomen, #oursuperhero, #blesseddaughters and #prouddaughters to her post.
Yami tied the knot with Aditya Dhar in a beautiful traditional ceremony in Himachal Pradesh. It was an intimate affair in the presence of her close family members and friends. The photos from the wedding festivities are going viral on social media.
For her wedding, the actor chose to wear a traditional red chooda with her saree, and a lot of gold jewellery including a giant Maang-tika. Sharing the first picture from her wedding album, the actor wrote, With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family.
Yami made her Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana. She was last seen in Netflix’s Ginny Weds Sunny, in which she featured with Vikrant Massey. So far, she worked in several movies like Bala, Heo, Sanam Re, Yuddham, Badlapur, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Kaabil and Uri: The Surgical Strike.
On the other hand, her husband and filmmaker Aditya Dhar is all set for his next directorial project, The Immortal Ashwatthama, which will be his second collaboration with actor Vicky Kaushal after Uri: The Surgical Strike.
