Chandigarh, Jun 9 (UNI) Looking at the strength of the BJP and its strong growing support base among the people ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, leaders of various organizations including Congress are embracing BJP.
Today, two senior Congress party leaders from Gurdaspur and Majitha assembly constituencies along with their colleagues joined the BJP. On this occasion, leaders of many other organizations held BJP's lotus with him. All these were included in the party by the state BJP President Ashwini Sharma during the program organised at the state BJP headquarters in Chandigarh.
On this occasion, BJP's national secretary and state co-in-charge Dr. Narinder Singh , state BJP vice-president Rajesh Baga , BJP Yuva Morcha state president Bhanu Pratap were also present. State BJP General Secretary Jeevan Gupta while congratulating all the new members on joining the party said all of them have joined the BJP in view of the people-friendly policies and transparent work of the BJP.
Jeevan Gupta said today Punjab State President of Rangreta Youth Ekta Nirmal Singh , Valmiki etc. Mohan Sabharwal of Dharma Samaj , Sewa Singh , Member of Rangreta Youth Ekta Punjab , General Secretary of Congress Party Gurdaspur Manjit Singh , Vice President of Congress Party Halka Majitha Amritsar Sandeep Singh Kuldeep Singh , General Director of International Human Rights Punjab, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party along with his allies.
State BJP President Ashwini Sharma has got all of them included in the party. He said all of them will be given full respect and made functionaries in the party. He said all these leaders are connected with the people and know very well their difficulties.
He said BJP is a party of workers and full respect is given to workers in this organization. Here any worker can reach any position with his hard work. Gupta said BJP S.C. Morcha's national secretary Santokh Singh Gumtala and BJP SC have joined the BJP under the inspiration of Balwinder Singh Gill, the Vice President of Morcha Punjab.
He said all these will further strengthen the party by taking the ideology and policies of the party to the people. On the other hand, all the new members who joined the BJP thanked the party leadership and assured them of meeting the expectations of the party. On this occasion Kulbir Singh Ashu Amba Beas District Vice President Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha among others were also present on the occasion.
