Infinix is a smartphone brand known for releasing value-for-money devices. It has focused on budget-friendly smartphones since its inception in 2013 and is primarily popular in emerging markets. It seems like the brand is now shifting its focus towards tech innovations as Infinix is now reported to be working on 160W fast charging tech.
The folks over at XDA have received a photo that shows an alleged Infinix "Ultra Flash Charger" labeled at 160W. The charging brick is quite huge in size which is expected considering the power output capacity. It is shown with the brand's logo and signature Green color suggesting that this could be a real deal.
If Infinix is actually working on the 160W fast charging tech and is closer to the launch, it would become the phone with the fastest charging tech. Other commercially available smartphones offer fast charging up to 70W but the exact value varies from brand to brand and model to model. For example, Xiaomi's Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra support fast charging at 67W, and the OnePlus 9 Pro reaches at 65W.
It should be noted that these are only speculations for the time being. There is also a possibility that the charge could be intended for a future Infinix laptop as the brand also ventured into notebooks recently.
