Thane / Palghar, Jun 8 (UNI) It was rather a new lease of life for a 85 year old tribal villager from Talyacha Pada of Vasai who successfully fought Covid19 and is fit and fine now now. Thanks to the timely attention and assistance rendered by the Shramajivi Covid Center set up at the Usgaon campus of the Shramajivi Sanghatana.
Giving details of the critical case the founder of the Sanghatana and whose brian child the center is Vivvek Pandit told newsmen on Tuesday that it was some 20 days back the tribal, Barkyua Katkari was brought to the center in a very critical stage.
We treated him at the center for about fifteen days and as his condition became critical we rushed him to the Star Hospital at Nalla Sopara, where Dr. Mahabali Singh treated him and brought him back to normal.
Said Pandit, right from day one we were committed to serve the patients being admitted to the 100 bedded CCC the very purpose of which is to take care of the tribals at this critical hour.
The CCC itself was started on May 01, and just a few days back the 100th patient walked home. She was none other than 85 year old mother of the late guardian minister of Palghar, Vishnu Sawra.
We are glad that we are able to serve the members of the down trodden and the tribal villagers said Pandit and added that we will live upto the expectations of this class come what may.
Our commitment is towards them he said, and explained the concern and anxiety he had undergone during the intervening period when Barkya was shifted to the Star hospital and when eh was treated there.
