Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jitin Prasada is likely to join the BJP today, sources in the UP Congress have said.
BJP MP and spokesperson Anil Baluni had tweeted that an eminent personality will join the party today at 1 pm at the party headquarters in Delhi.

Jitin Prasada has served as MoS during the Manmohan Singh-led UPA tenure handling portfolios such as Steel, Petroleum & Natural Gas, Road Transport & Highways and Human Resource Development. His likely induction into BJP will serve as a huge embarrassment to Congress as he was the AICC in charge of the West Bengal Assembly polls. Moreover, he was one of the G23 leaders who demanded accountability and elections in the party.
