Mercedes has launched the Maybach-GLS to India but unfortunately it’s already out of stock for this year.
The opulent sibling of the GLS, this Maybach take on the SUV will leave your jaws wide open and eyes starstruck from the second you step inside. It’s no surprise that the fifty-plus models allocated for 2021 have already been booked even before its launch today.
On the outside, the difference between the standard GLS and this decked out Maybach version is apparent. There’s the extra generosity shown with the chrome, the increase in length and width, new colour options, bigger alloy wheels, and of course, the three-arrow star sitting on the bonnet.
Inside, you get 64-colour ambient lighting, a fridge with champagne glasses, four-zone climate control, panoramic sliding sunroof, individual sunblinds, and two 11.6-inch MBUX touchscreen displays behind the front seats. At the rear, the lounge seats get heated, ventilated, and massage functions, which can also be controlled via a 7-inch MBUX tablet placed in the rear centre console. If you’re lucky enough to be in the market for such levels of luxury, there’s still some good news. The Maybach SUV will be back in stock, with deliveries for the next batch set to begin from Q1 2022.
