Telenor announces Scribe speech recognition scheme to analyse Norwegian language

Telenor has announced the 'Scribe' automatic speech recognition (ASR) project in conjunction with other partners. Such technology does not yet exist for the highly dialectical Norwegian language, it said. ASR could improve customer service as well as inclusion of people with hearing impairments in live events or when watching broadcasts.
