Hyderabad: Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Mayor of the GHMC, today investigated ongoing sanitation and disinfection work in the Amberpet constituency area. She joins MLA Kaleru Venkatesh and orders GHMC officials to process work in the Golnaka area and start immediately, where the work has not yet started.
Mayor Vijayalakshmi has embarked on the inspection work in anticipation of the upcoming monsoon season, which usually begins in mid-June. On Tuesday, she instructed Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to complete the grinding and sanitation work within seven days.
In Bapuji Nagar, Vijayalakshmi, after examining Box drains, noticed that garbage is dumped directly into the drainage of houses. Thereafter, his officials instructed to ensure that the entire drainage pipes in the area are cleaned due to the drainage of drainage as the stormwater, drainage and garbage lines together can block the pipelines.
Later, the mayor also visited Bathukamma Kunta and solved the Swatch car parking problem as residents brought it to her attention. After investigating the open drainage near the state-run fever hospital in Sivananda Nagar, Vijayalakshmi ordered the executive engineer, assistant engineer and the medical officer in the area to remove the rubbish immediately through the nala design work to a depth of 3 feet to continue.
She also checked the Chikkada Palli Nala and ensured that the sanitation work was completed soon. Mayor Vijayalakshmi also handed out masks at Amberpet Crossroads no. 6 under the auspices of former corporation Padmavati, along with the local MLA and corporator.
Earlier, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, along with Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, also joined the state’s ongoing vaccination operation at Afzalgunj.
