DIPHU, June 9: The department of primary education under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has cancelled the selection of 81 posts of lower primary teachers being selected earlier due to detection of irregularities submitted by some candidates and a fresh list of selected candidates will be published again.

In a notification on May 28, the primary education department has published TET qualified candidates who have been selected for appointment as LP teachers against 81 Nos. of sanctioned vacant posts.

Soon after the notification was published a TET qualified candidate Onbir Teron on May 31 protested against the anomalies in the selection process as some candidates whose names are not in the list were being selected.

The department in its fresh notification on June 8 said, “In view of last minute detection of irregularities in the documents submitted by some candidates, it is hereby notified to all concerned that the selection lists published on May 28, 2021 vide notification No. KAAC/ DPEO/ Esstt. Adv./2020-21/34/08 dtd..28/05/2021, for appointment of 81 LP teachers under the primary education department hereby stand cancelled. A fresh list of selected candidates will be published in due course of time. This has the approval of the authority of the KAAC.”
