Hyderabad: Youngster injured in street brawl dies in hospital

Hyderabad: A youngster, who was critically injured in a street brawl between two groups in Dabeerpura in the old city earlier this week, succumbed to injuries in hospital here on Tuesday.

The victim, Mohammed Adnan (19), a resident of Farhath Nagar in Dabeerpura had left home on Sunday evening informing he was going to meet his friends.

His relatives said, he had a fight with local youngsters Mujeeb, Najeeb and others over an unknown issue. He was assaulted and collapsed on the spot. The others fled the spot, leaving him injured.

Adnan was rushed to Osmania General Hospital, where he underwent a surgery. However, his condition worsened and he died on Tuesday at 8am.

The brawl was captured in CCTV cameras installed in the area. The Dabeerpura police, who earlier booked a case of attempt to murder, have now altered it to that of murder and are investigating. Efforts are on to nab the suspects.
