Bosch opens chip factory in Dresden

Bosch has opened a chip factory in the city of Dresden in Saxony. The factory is automated, equipped with networked machines and integrated processes, and artificial intelligence (AI) for Industry 4.0 production. Bosch is investing around EUR 1 billion to set up the production plant. The company considers the development and manufacturing of semiconductors to be of strategic importance.
