PILs on industrial units closed in Telangana High Court

Hyderabad: A panel of two judges, consisting of Judge Hima Kohli and Judge B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court, on Tuesday reviewed a number of public interest lawsuits filed against industrial units that adversely affected the environment in Tata Nagar and Shastripuram. , ended. GHMC’s lawyer told the court that the necessary closure orders had been issued against most industrial units and that their electricity connection had been disconnected. Vinay Palnitkar and others who cited the advice that the PIL group preferred that there be some industrial units yet to be closed. The panel ordered the petitioner to submit a list of the industrial units to the advocate of the GHMC, who in turn was instructed to take the necessary steps for the issuance of show notices. Submitter was given the freedom to approach the court if no action is taken against the industrial units in the area concerned.

Interim protection for police officers

Telangana High Court Judge Abhinand Kumar Shavili on Tuesday granted interim protection to Janaki Sharmila (DSP), deputy director of the RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy. The officer is known for an impeccable record for her service and based on a written petition filed by her claiming that UK Singh, Retd. IPS constantly intervened with her duties and facilities by the State Government and acted outside its duty by harassing her mentally. The lawyer who appeared for the petitioner asked the court to request UK Singh (ret. IPS) not to interfere, but the court denied that he could not do the same. The petitioner also requested the court to order the Director-General of Police to consider her representation as her IPS is pending for consideration. The case is adjourned until June 22 for further hearing.

Deccan Chronicle Holdings case

The bank in Hyderabad of the National Company Law Tribunal adjourned a case brought by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office against Deccan Chronicle Holding Limited and 39 others on Wednesday. SFIO had earlier submitted an application alleging, among other things, that DCHL had diverted its funds with the help of other respondents in various ways. Exclusive Motors Pvt Limited, has submitted an application for early hearing in which he is a respondent and states that DCHL has paid an advance of approximately 11 million euros for the purchase of a luxury custom car. However, DCHL could not pay the balance amount for which the manufacturer forfeited the advance. The said transaction was even recorded in the Exclusive Motors’ balance sheet, but SFIO made it, without giving them any opportunity, as a respondent in the present petition. The Tribunal ordered the Exclusive Motors to submit all its relevant balance sheet for the relevant year before the Tribunal and adjourned the case until 9 June.
