Punjab expected to increase education, health budget by 10%

Govt to pass Rs2,400bn budget

The Punjab government is expected to pass a Rs2,400 billion budget this year, sources informed SAMAA TV.

The government is expected to allocate Rs600 billion for development programmes and Rs1,350 billion for other projects.

Funds worth Rs400 billion will be spent on the purchase of wheat. No new tax will be imposed.

The provincial government is expected to increase the allocation for education, health, security, and water security by 10%.
