Inwit inks deals to connect 30 hospitals to 5G-ready DAS systems

Italian mobile towers group Inwit, jointly controlled by by Telecom Italia (TIM) and Vodafone, said it has reached agreements with a total of 30 healthcare facilities throughout Italy to install DAS (Distributed Antenna System) micro-antennas with a view to optimising reception of mobile signals of all operators for the benefit of staff and patients alike. The health facilities in question have a catchment area of 9 million people for a total of over 16,000 beds and the infrastructure has already been rolled out in 20 hospitals, most recently that of Avellino in the southern Campania region,
