PSL 2021 Phase 2: 5 players to watch out for in the opening game- The Pakistan Super League phase 2 or PSL 2021 will finally kick start on Wednesday. Sohail Akhtar-led Lahore Qalandars will lock horns against Mohd Rizwan’s Islamabad United in the opening fixture of the second leg in Abu Dhabi. Here we will discuss some of the top players from the two teams who can make the opener a memorable one. They are skipper Mohd Rizwan, Imran Tahir, Shimron Hetmyer, Fakhar Zaman, James Faulkner.

Mohd Rizwan
Multan Sultans skipper Mohd Rizwan will play a crucial role in the upcoming fixture. He has been in sensational form in the past few months and would like to emulate his good run in the Pakistan Super League. He smashed 186 runs in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.
Imran Tahir
Veteran South Africa spinner Imran Tahir will play a key role for his team in the Pakistan Super League. He has experience of playing in numerous T20s around the world. He can change the course of the game in the slog overs.
Shimron Hetmyer
The West Indies batsman is a very good hitter of the cricket ball. He can score a quickfire fifty to change the course of the game. He can also play a cameo role and help take the team to a match-winning total. The 24-year-old has a strike rate of 132 and has also slammed a T20 century.
Fakhar Zaman
The Pakistan opening batsman is in good form in the last few matches. He would like to emulate his recent batting performance in the Pakistan Super League to help Lahore Qalandars win the title. He scored a couple of centuries in the recently concluded ODI series against South Africa away from home. It included 193 runs in the 2nd ODI.
James Faulkner
The Aussie allrounder has experience of playing over 200 T20s around the world. He has taken 243 wickets and scored over 1800 runs in 211 matches in the shortest format. He can play a crucial role as the fifth seamer.
