The New Subaru Forester Is Still The Top-Selling Vehicle In One State
The 2021 Subaru Forester is the most sought-after vehicle in one U.S. state in America. According to the newest study by iSeeCars, the Forester compact SUV remains the top-selling car in Washington state.
The study looked at over 12.9 million vehicle sales in 2020 to determine the most popular new cars across the U.S. by state. Pickup trucks are the most popular new car in 34 of 50 states. By far, the Ford F-150 is the best-selling vehicle across the U.S., earning distinction in 22 states. The Subaru Forester and the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, and Chevrolet Equinox are the most popular new compact SUVs.
Why is the Forester the top model in Washington state?
Subaru is attracting a younger demographic that lead active lifestyles, and they love to trail hike, mountain bike, and snowboard. Washington has the North Cascade mountains that are the perfect playground for camping in the summer.
Subaru is known for its all-weather capabilities and for having a recreation-purposed platform. Washington and cold-weather mountain states where there’s snow is another reason.
Even though pickup trucks dominate, iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer said last year, “Compact SUVs are a popular vehicle segment that appeals to those buying SUVs for the first time as well as those who want a family vehicle and don’t require a large SUV.”
Forester is the perfect multi-use vehicle with its Symmetrical all-wheel-drive to enjoy sports activities in the high country. The Forester also comes standard with 8.7-inches of ground clearance and X-Mode for off-pavement adventures.
The 2021 Subaru Forester is also a top-selling model in cities like Denver, Seattle-Tacoma, Billings, and New England states and sells many fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive models in those areas of the country because of its “go-anywhere” attitude. Below are the top-10 states where Subaru sells the most vehicles.
