NEW DELHI: Aluminium prices rose 0.16 per cent to Rs 190.35 per kg in the futures trade on Tuesday, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for the June delivery gained 30 paise, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 190.35 per kg in a business turnover of 2,079 lots.

Experts said the creation of fresh positions by traders following demand from consumer industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
