    Guar gum futures gain on spot demand

    Synopsis

    On National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery surged 1.02 per cent, or Rs 66, to Rs 6,508 per five quintal with an open interest of 10 lots.

    NEW DELHI: Guar gum prices on Tuesday gained Rs 66 to Rs 6,508 per five quintal in futures trade, as speculators raised their holdings following spot demand.

    On National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery surged 1.02 per cent, or Rs 66, to Rs 6,508 per five quintal with an open interest of 10 lots.

    Analysts said after tracking firm physical market trends, traders raised their bets that led to rise in guar gum prices.
