The Government of India has placed orders for 44 crore Covid-19 vaccines after its vaccination policy was changed. A total of 25 crore Covishield vaccine doses and 19 crore Covaxin doses are to be procured under fresh orders. Fresh orders were placed with Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech after PM Modi’s announcement on Monday.
