Android Auto supports different music streaming apps but YouTube Music is the default one that one gets out of the box. It is the app that has replaced the previously offered Google Play Music. The app is finally receiving a major design change that aims to make it convenient for users to browse through music.

YouTube Music for Android Auto now has build number 4.30.50 that brings these changes. The new design bears four dedicated tabs for easier navigation. These include Home, Last Played, Library, and Device Files. The first tab is home to shortcuts to different aspects of your account. The second one is a tab dedicated to songs and playlists that you have played recently.

The Library tab is self-explanatory where users will have access to their whole library. The last tab is aimed at allowing users to access songs stored locally on their devices. This tab will not appear unless you have songs stored on your device. It is a contextual feature that will appear only if there is a locally stored song.

The new version has started to roll out and should become available anytime soon. YouTube Music app update can be checked manually by visiting the app store. Otherwise, you can choose to wait and get automatic update notification.
