Congress leaders sit in ‘Sathyagraha Deeksha’ in Nalgonda, Suryapet

Suryapet: The Congress leaders held a day-long sit-in ‘Sathyagraha Deeksha’ at Suryapet and Nalgonda and demanded that the state government include the treatment of Corona and black fungus in the Aarogyasri scheme.

Led by the President of the District Congress Committee (DCC), Cheviti Venkanna, the Congress leaders held the Sathyagraha Deeksha in Red Bhavan at Suryapet.

On the occasion, Venkanna said that the poor people, who tested positive for COVID-19, struggled to get treatment in private hospitals and were forced to sell their properties to bear the cost of treatment. Families of the corona patients borrowed money while corporate hospitals asked lakhs rupees for treatment. He wanted the state government to take strict action against the private hospitals, which looted the patients by collecting too many costs.
