Telangana focuses on five districts with the most COVID incidents

Hyderabad: Teleshana general secretary Somesh Kumar on Monday ordered collectors from five districts to draw up a plan to spread the word: COVID-19.

Commissioned by Prime Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the General Secretary held a teleconference with the District Collectors, District Physicians and Medical Officers (DMHOs) and Superintendents of General Government Hospitals in Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda districts. on Covid situation, tests, positivity and occupancy of bed in the hospitals.

Somesh Kumar reviewed the situation and instructed the collectors to draw up a plan and pay special attention to its control. Covid-19 in the towns and specific areas in the districts where more cases were reported.

He asked officials to focus on border towns and take preventative measures to increase tests.

Health Secretary, SAM Rizvi, Director of Public Health, dr. Srinivasa Rao, OSD for the CM, dr. Gangadhar, also participated in the review meeting.

While the number Covid affairs are declining throughout the state, and some districts bordering Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh still report a large number of cases.

Last week, Rizvi and Srinivasa visited Rao Khammam and Suryapet districts to review the situation. The district officials were asked to apply the continuous exclusion more strictly to lower the positivity rate.

According to officials, the border districts report a large number of cases as the state average.

The state cabinet had earlier instructed the health secretary and the medical and health officials to visit places like Madhira, Satthupalli, Alampur, Gadwal, Narayanpet, Maktal, Nagarjuna Sagar, Kodad and Huzurabad, which are on state borders and where Corona is distributed, more revised the situation and take the necessary measures.

Khammam still sees the second highest number of daily cases in the state after Greater Hyderabad. On June 5, Khammam reported 172 cases, up from 144 the previous day. The daily score in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district also rose to 110 from 110 on 4 June.

The Nalgonda and Suryapet districts also reported 156 and 95, respectively, on 5 June.

While Telangana’s daily positivity rate fell to 1.5 percent on June 5, these districts continue to have a higher positivity rate.

The director of public health said last week that the government may lift the June 10 exclusion if the positivity rate in the border areas falls below 5 percent.
