Telangana to vaccinate bank staff

Hyderabad: The Telangana state government has decided to vaccinate the bank employees. Secretary of State Somesh Kumar held a meeting with various representatives of the banks to discuss the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Somesh Kumar has instructed officials that all bank employees should be vaccinated on a priority basis if they join the Bankers Association.

The general secretary added that the outsourcing staff of the banks along with the banking staff will also be vaccinated during the special ride.

Somesh Kumar told the bank representatives that the state government plans to vaccinate all the essential groups of employees by the end of October. In the first phase of this special ride, employees who interact with the public on a daily basis will be given preference.

Secretary-General added that the state government had requested the center to allocate more vaccines to Telangana.

Chief Financial Officer Ram Krishna Rao, General Secretary Municipal Administration and Urban Development Arvind Kumar, General Secretary IT Jayesh Ranjan, Health Secretary Murtaza Ali Rizvi, convener Krishna Sharma, convener of state level, and other representatives of the banks attended the meeting.
