The upcoming movie premieres in theaters and on HBO Max THIS WEEK!

“Lights up on Washington Heights, up at the break of day / I wake up and I got this little punk I gotta chase away / Pop the grate at the crack of dawn / Sing while I wipe down the awning,” star Anthony Ramos raps in the first teaser for the movie. “Hey y’all, good morning.”

The teaser also features creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who appears in the movie as Piragua Man.

Here’s a summary for the film: “Lights up on Washington Heights…The scent of a cafecito caliente hangs in the air just outside of the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies this vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is the likable, magnetic bodega owner Usnavi (Ramos), who saves every penny from his daily grind as he hopes, imagines and sings about a better life.”

Melissa Barrera, Leslie Grace, Stephanie Beatriz, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Dascha Polanco, Corey Hawkins, Jimmy Smits, Olga Merediz, and Gregory Diaz IV also star in the movie.
