HAFLONG, June 6: Ever since the strike of the dreaded pandemic worldwide, the medical team of Dima Hasao successfully completed the delivery of a Covid positive pregnant woman at Langting Model Hospital, 83 km from here on Saturday.

Langting town has been reporting a high surge in Covid cases recently.

A healthy baby girl was delivered when the pregnant lady, reporting labour pain, was admitted to the hospital at Langting and tested Covid positive while undergoing a normal delivery procedure there. Apart from a slight cough and cold the lady is said to be healthy, as conveyed by the medical team.

The delivery was successfully conducted by the medical team lead by medical officer Dr. Madab Paul along with Dr Nemdew Thengew, GNM sister Henuli Naiding and BPM Jaydeep Sinha.

Along with the lady, four family members have also tested Covid positive and have been taken to a Covid care centre in Langting.
