A consortium of State Health Agency and various NGOs working in tandem with the Oxygen Exchange donates 50 BPAPs to the Government of Manipur
In a bid to support the Government of Manipur in its goal to manage the second wave of Covid-19, a group of local NGOs supported by a global network of volunteers under the aegis of the Oxygen Exchange platform have come together to provide much-needed BPAPs to the government. The 50 units, funded by ACT Grants and Swasth Alliance, were received during a ceremony earlier today in the presence of the Chief Minister, Shri N. Biren Singh.
Oxygen Exchange is a platform run by volunteers who have been monitoring the oxygen demand-supply patterns in various states in India. The volunteers identified a gap in Manipur and therefore, decided to work with various donors, NGOs, the State Government and suppliers to fill this gap.
The platform was supported locally by Ms. Nidhi Kesarwani, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (PHED/Agriculture/MAHUD), Ms. Laltanpuii Vanchhong, CEO, State Health Agency, and a team representing the MaolKeki Foundation, STEP North East, HIGHLAND and Seva Bharati.
