    Tata Sons may look to induct pros from diverse fields on its board

    Synopsis

    The five-year term of Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, who was appointed in February 2017, will also be up for renewal next year and will be discussed in the coming months, officials said.

    Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, is expected to “augment and refresh the board” in the coming months as some directors step down after completing their term or because they have reached the mandated retirement age of 70, top officials close to the development said.
