Nigerian human rights group plans to sue telecom firms over Twitter shut-down

Monday 7 June 2021 | 10:47 CET | News

Convener of the group Deji Adeyanju argued that the directive issued to telecom operators through the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), lacked any legal backing. Adeyanju said the group will sue the telecom companies for disconnecting Twitter without a valid court order, immediately that the courts resume, because this is a clear breach of the law.
