TO THE EDITOR:
We all thank and appreciate our medical personnel during this pandemic. We appreciate the factory workers that went back to work building cars early on. During the last year, we have all learned to adjust and continue to serve our customers.
For the most part, dealers have adapted and are having great results at the lower volumes. I think it is long overdue for manufacturers and distributors to give credit where credit is due. Retail car dealers and their associates have worked every day of this pandemic to serve our customers. Many retail associates did not have the option to work from the safety of their homes. Many dealership associates worked, contracted COVID-19, recovered, then went back to work once cleared to do so.
These employees worked hard and took great risks to keep our industry going. The top leaders in our industry should offer our retail associates the gratitude they deserve for occupying the front line.
